Bagmati Life is a dedicated initiative aimed at reviving the Bagmati River—a lifeline of Kathmandu that has long suffered from pollution, neglect, and unplanned urbanization. This initiative is inspired by the pioneering vision of Ravi K. Manandhar and Prakash Manandhar, both passionate advocates for sustainable river restoration. Their combined efforts in water conservation, eco-friendly transport, and cultural preservation have laid the foundation for a cleaner, more sustainable future for the Bagmati River.
With their deep understanding of the river’s environmental, social, and cultural significance, Bagmati Life seeks to restore the Bagmati to its natural state through innovative solutions, public engagement, and strategic interventions. This movement envisions a river that is not only clean but also serves as a symbol of sustainability, heritage, and urban progress.
